Are you ready to be amazed?
The first day
To make the most of your day, it’s time to get equipped.
We advise you to wear clothes in which you feel comfortable.
Choose a good pair of sneakers.
Don’t forget your cap and sunglasses!
Don’t forget to pack a good-quality picnic. If you don’t have time to prepare it, you can count on Ben & Nad to deliver it before you leave.
We recommend reserving your picnic at least 24 hours in advance.
What could be more pleasant than waking up quietly in your gite, opening the shutters, seeing the pool and, as a bonus, a delicious breakfast waiting for you?
Ben & Nad offer two breakfast formulas (discover them here).
Take time to enjoy your pastries and fresh bread before setting off on your adventure.
Don’t forget to book.
For this first morning, we recommend reserving bikes at the gîte. Two electric bikes are at your disposal, so you can explore effortlessly and enjoy your ride to the full.
Head for the banks of the Sèvre.
You’ll be lucky enough to find yourself just a stone’s throw away from sumptuous landscapes.
There’s no need to take the car, just hop on your bike for the loop.
Difficulty: Medium
Distance: 16.70 km

Set off on a unique bike ride with the added bonus of the gentle murmur of water trickling over its bed.
On the way back, between Mortagne sur Sèvre and Saint Aubin des Ormeaux, you’ll find lovely little shady spots on the banks of the Sèvre to put your towel down and enjoy a picnic prepared with care by the gite owners. Enjoy this unique moment in a privileged setting.
Take the time to pedal at your own pace. With your hair blowing in the wind and the gentle breeze caressing your face, you’ll feel a sense of well-being.
In the evening, the owners offer a plancha/grill menu or a charcuterie/cheese board menu (Saturday only).
On our garden terrace, enjoy the delicious platter prepared with care by the owners.
It’s the perfect time to reminisce about your ride and the sublime landscapes you’ve discovered.
Second day
After an invigorating night’s sleep in our guest rooms or at Ben & Nad’s gîte, it’s time to tackle your second day in Vendée.
For the second day in a row, you can enjoy the breakfast offered by the owners.
Your legs gave out enough yesterday, so this morning we’ll be calling on the strength in your arms.
In addition to electric bikes, the owners also offer an inflatable canoe for hire.
Once again, you’ll need good shoes for this half-day trip.
You’ll be spending a good part of the day outdoors, so don’t forget your sunglasses and hat.
Head for La Vallée de Poupet, a haven of peace for nature lovers.
It takes about 20 minutes by car to get there.
Here we go, cruising peacefully on the river, admiring the flora and fauna. The sun’s shimmering reflections in the water will add a touch of magic to this unforgettable experience.
For lunch, we recommend a stop on one of the riverbanks. Make yourself comfortable, get out your picnic basket and enjoy an open-air meal to the soothing sound of the water beside you.
Here, too, you can enjoy picnics provided by the gîte owners.
Once you’ve had your fill, resume your canoe trip.
After your canoe trip, we suggest a short walk to discover the village of Mallièvre.
For two kilometers, you’ll follow the river Sèvre to this charming little town of character.
Although Mallièvre is the smallest commune in the Vendée, it’s full of charm and history.
These two days in the Vendée bocage come to an end here.
We would be delighted to hear your impressions of your stay in our gite and our beautiful region.
